Ali Haji Kipapuro is a professional journalist
from Kwale County, Kenya. I am currently working as an Information Officer at
the County Government of Kwale (Governor’s Press Unit). I studied Mass
Communication at Mombasa Polytechnic University College today known as the
Technical University of Mombasa (TUM). I have vast journalistic experience having
worked at Rahma Broadcasting Ltd (Radio Rahma) from 2007 to 2010 as a Reporter
and an Editor. I also worked at Standard Group’s Radio Maisha as a Reporter and
News Reader from 2010 to 2013 and later joined Radio Kaya as the Head of News
from 2014 to 2016. In 2014 I was feted as the Best Reporter – Gender Reporting
Award (Radio Category) in the 3rd Annual Journalism Excellence Awards (AJEA) by
the Media Council of Kenya. I also emerged the 2nd Runners Up in Environment
Reporting & 2nd Runners Up in Tourism Reporting (Radio Categories)
respectively in the 4th Annual Journalism Excellence Awards (AJEA) in
2015.
